Guillaume & his pets

After spending his childhood studying, observing and drawing animals, Guillaume became an art agent. Moving between their home in the Loir-et-Cher and Paris where they have a second home, Guillaume and his husband live with about thirty animals... all of them are very unusual.
A zoo at home
"5 dogs, 3 cats, about twenty chickens and 6 parakeets: my husband, Rares, and I have many animals that live in the large garden of our house in the countryside, in the Loir-et-Cher. Living together is not always easy - each has its own personality, and their behaviour obviously varies according to their species - but there is still a form of civilised coexistence that suits everyone!”
Rehabilitation
"Most of the animals that live with us are rescued. Especially the dogs and the cats; their owners have either given them up or abandoned them. Other animals are transferred. For example, we took in the 16-year-old cat Lulu, who used to be from a friend of ours who recently died. Perhaps the most outstanding recollections are the births: like the two young Yorkies, Poppea and Pyrrhus, who are 2 years old and live with their mother Nine (and by the way, have the lives of little country and hunting dogs, far from the clichés conveyed about the breed!), or Pétula (one of our dogs) was born here, with us."
Everything is flexible
"Pétula is autistic. It's quite complicated to deal with, there are phases when she's fine and others when she's not. She has a problem with connecting but is also a formidable companion on bike rides: she respects the rules of the road in an amazing way! My husband also successfully trained (with a lot of patience...) Pandora, a gray cat brought back from the SPA, despite the fact that she was very wild and that he knew little about cats."
