I am not at all objective about my relationship with Moka... Mokichoc for friends or Moka pouépoué!

I haven't found anything as relaxing and satisfying as the relationship you have with an Icelandic shepherd or rather shepherdess! In our house, she is the antidepressant of the whole family.

She is always happy even with Milk the family cat!

She always wants to learn and she always wants to make us happy! She is extremely sociable, all the children in the neighbourhood who were afraid of dogs now want one...

She obeys both children and adults; she is the happiness of the whole family, she loves to cuddle. She is always at my side at work, following me on my building sites.

Yes, she is a great lockdown compagnon but more than that: she has also taught us to move around more during the weekend, to go for long walks even if it is raining or when we are tired! No choice and in the end it makes us all very happy: she is our joy in life!

Ten years ago, having been intrigued by bees for a very long time, I signed up for the beekeeping course at the Jardin du Luxembourg.

Of course, I was interested in bees, but I was also looking for a reason to take breaks during the week from the ever increasing amount of work.

For almost 5 years now I have been lucky enough to look after an apiary (bee yard) with 3 hives on the roof of a building in the city of Paris near the Trinité church.

When I go up on the roof to join my 80,000 to 120,000 friends, it's a huge moment of relaxation: beekeeping requires a lot of calm and precision, which really cuts out the little worries of everyday life or work when I'm there!

I love that nowadays I go up to see my bees to put into perspective the little problems that we can all encounter. The icing on the cake is, as this apiary is the result of a partnership between an association and the town hall of the 9th arrondissement, that fruit of the bees' work is distributed in the form of jars of honey to the newlyweds of the year in the 9th arrondissement.

Last but not least, I have the great pleasure of beekeeping with my son who is happy to share these moments with his dad
