Guillaume Sichi is a young textile designer, painter and illustrator, now 23 years old. Born near Paris, he spent his teenage years in Marseille and studied applied arts at the Martinière Diderot in Lyon and then at the Duperré School in Paris.

Dogs play an important role in his imagination. He has observed that the passionate declarations of love made towards animals, especially pets, raise both embarrassment and a form of sadness. Through his work, he seeks to reveal this loneliness, and he explores this extremely troubled affected zone that conditions our relationship with pets.

Script 2

On all Fours :

« Flat on my stomach, I feel good.

It's nice to be weighed down on the floor,

To leave no gap between your body and the floor, No space for air to slip through, not even a hiss.

Connected to a compact earth that utters the muffled cry of the tiny living and the great dead,

So that they blend together,
and produce but a thick vibration.

From the depths,
I feel only an enclosing energy from which I must extricate myself.

Like a snake I must break my back, Break my spine into a thousand contractions,

Produce enough viscous liquid and slide, To travel the land. Worm,

Naked,
tender and transparent.

I am developing my initial motor skills in a crawling position.

Only then can I look at objects,

And move towards them,
wanting and depending on them; becoming one in a way.

Driven by the great motivation to participate in social life,
I quickly attempt to avoid friction and move faster and faster.

On all fours,
my front limbs are passed flat and parallel,

In line with my shoulders.

My back legs are spread the width of my pelvis and

in line with the front.
On the tip of my paws and then slowly,

I push the front and back. My hips rise towards the sky. My back opens up,

My diaphragm relaxes enough to allow me to bark now. On all fours,

It is now possible to sit on me.

I become passive and am characterised by enduring,
experiencing.

A chair usually consists of a back and four legs.
I now exist to rest other bodies and develop decorative assets. I am waiting for someone or something.

I stop enduring,

Not to act, to be dominated,
I offer myself to the possibility of transformation. »
