Liz Sterling
After working for many years as an art director and designer in the digital world, Liz took up painting again. Which rapidly and unexpectedly became a daily practice.
She now works as an artist and designer for clients using illustration and many other materials to make decorative objects of all sorts.
There are two centres of interest in her painting; simply the moment, the time to observe and paint what is before you and soulful ideas.
“I met this guy and his cohorts on the canal the other day, and thought it was the perfect subject for LAPARADE, the newest authority on animal and human relations.”
“This is a game that can be played at a cocktail party or at any time when there is time to divide humanity, men and women, into birds or dogs. Behaviour or appearance. You'll see that there are quite a few people who fit very well into these two groups.”
“What memory do we have of the dogs that accompanied us? What place do their name occupy in our memory?
I think of the dogs of our childhood, whose names we use for the security question number two, the adorable and annoying dogs of friends. And most importantly, dogs, like us humans, live on in our memories after their death.
In memory of Nelson, Mutley, Rastas and Ringo.”
